Institute of Graphics and Parallel Processing

The Institute of Graphics and Parallel Processing (GUP) focuses its research and teaching activities on the fields of Computer Graphics and Parallel  Processing as well as the interconnections between these areas.
Research in the field of parallel and distributed systems addresses multiprocessor architectures and massively parallel systems, grid computing, and tools for debugging and performance analysis of parallel programs.
Within the computer graphics domain methods for efficient rendering including parallel approaches, as well as Virtual and Mixed Reality and visualizations from the technical and natural sciences domain are investigated.
